Looking for a home?

For most people who come to our program as home seekers, the number one draw is affordable housing.  That is certainly a key benefit of home sharing, but there are many more reasons to try Home Share.  By agreeing to pitch in and work around the house in exchange for little or no rent, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.  Home sharing relationships are mutually beneficial:  you can help a senior or disabled Vermonter keep living at home, while that person helps you by providing a nice place to live.

Sometimes, home seekers are tired of living alone; moving in with a home provider in need can lead to a powerful sense of belonging.  Finally, it’s no exaggeration to say that home sharing can contribute to your sense of living a meaningful life.

As you consider the idea of Home Share, you probably have many questions.  We invite you to read the sections below, and call or e-mail us with any additional questions.  We look forward to hearing from you!
